8.1.Tipsbeforefiringup



Openadoororwindowclosetothewoodburni ng.Ithereisa‘storm’inthestovecoming

fromthechimney,itisadvisabletoplaceascrewed‐uppieceofnewspaperbetweenthe

upperbaffleplateandthechimney,setthepaperonfireandwaituntilyouheara

‘rumbling’noiseinthechimney.Thismeansthereisdefinitelyadraughtinthechimneyand

avoidsmokeintheroom.



8.2‘Top‐down’Lighting



 Openthedooranlockitusingthesmallbracketatthebottomofthedoor.



 



 Startbyplacing1pieceofsplitlog–approx.1kg–atthebottomoftheupper

combustionchamber(UCC)infrontofthedometothesmallfrontglass.

 Placeapprox.1.2kgofdryfirewood,splitintokindlingsticksbehindtheloganda

coupleofalcoholbriquettes(firelighter)orsimilar.

 Lightthefireandclosetheupperconvectionplateofthestove.


